Yes you have to buy a hand rivet gun The squeeze type they sell them at Lowes or Home Cheapo, just make sure the tip can accommodate the stem of the fastener it looks like a 40 -.090" or a 30 .125" dia stem
If you have a harbor freight close, the rivet tool is cheap and you will get extra rivets in the package too.
You could use a simple small screw and if need be a plastic anchor. Most people have a bunch paying around their house from old projects ect.
You need to use a screws and washers throw the rivet away. If your hanging wardrobe is going to have any weight to it at all you need to find something solid to attach into like a roof support. A screw or even that rivet will eventually pull out of the thin plywood which is the inner surface of the roof. I've never understood the RV industries use of rivets instead of real fasteners, what a PITA.
