Do you have any camping traditions?

    Or traditions are (or will be)
    1) While packing up, the kiddos go around and pick up all the loose garbage they find. On our way out we dispose of it.(we give them gardening gloves for this)
    2) This year, they will be able to each pick one decent sized rock. The DW and I will write the year, name and campground name on it and it will be part of our garden.

    The garbage tradition should be something *everyone* does as part of camping, but thanks for instilling it with your kids.

    The rock tradition sounds cool, but it's one of those things that if everyone does it, it would be harmful to campgrounds. State/national parks in particular it would be illegal to do this. Take only pictures, leave only memories.
