    Is a 1977 a classic? I tow my TT with a 1977 F150.

I don't think my Durango falls under classic at this point (2002). But my clipper motorhome IS a classic (1975), and my FnR is unique. So do I get points? [:D]

The only thing I worry about with an old rides is ....... old brakes .......... non power and drums ..... that would be stressful.

My '77 has power brakes. Disk and drum. They are pretty darn good, too. The air is still ice cold. It hums right along easily at 65-70 mph with a 6k+ TT behind it.

I used to tow my one wheeled Sears PUP with a 1962 Chevy Pick up. Now I tow with a 2014 Ford Pick up, I have grown accustomed to AC during the Fl Summers and a decent heater in the winter :) and an automatic xmission.

On my '77 made sure I had power brakes and front disks.
Problems only occurred with things the previous owner had done, like spring shackles that made the boat or camper not track right.
Never really had any problems with the towing, just the ignition system...

I think about restoring a 1970 El Camino SS and getting a smaller Airstream to yank around; think I will paint the car a rich black with pearl-white hood stripes. Then a Mexican blanket to fold up and place on the dash.[8D]
