You definitely are the man! Awesome name!
Ours is "The Boove."
On my son's first ever camping trip, we borrowed my parents' 1974 Beaver RV, which is affectionately referred to as "The Beave." Well, DS was about 23 months old at the time, and couldn't say "Beave." When he tried, it came out as "Boove." So we started calling it "The Boove."
Well, he just assumed that any camper was a "Boove." So when we bought our pup, he immediately called it the Boove. And it has stuck. DS will be 4 next month....
We've tried to change it.....but "The Boove" won't die.
I have made several folks day today recounting your story. Can you snap a photo of the camper and post it online? If you don't have, or want to mess with Webshots, etc., I would be happy to post it on mine...just PM me for my email address.
The first time i set foot in a Coleman Bayside i said " this isn't a trailer. it's a friggin condo" So. I went to my local sign shop and got some vinyl lettering. Took off the "Bayside" logo and put our new one on
The Monaghan's "Bayside" Condo. Looks way cool and cost me like $20.00
I'll post some pic's when i figure out how to do that
So my wife has decided not to play and is staying out of it. My daughter is trying to name it after a disney character, and I am torn... how about some more input. Come on people help me out here.
definitely not a disney character.......haha.......i can see why you would need some help out of that sticky situation........
this is hokey but something to do with all the grey.........maybe Grey Goose or something.........give me a minute and I will try to come up with something better........
by the way my vote was for Casa De Doublewide........haha......SCmomma
My wife just threw "Casa de Marino" into the rink.
Definitely "Roughin' It" - or maybe "Roughin' It?" cause a sweet PU like that, I'm not sure it's really roughin it at all!
Since you enjoy wilderness camping and toughing it to get there on 4wd roads, it could be Rough Rider, if your family gets along like some I've seen in campgrounds, La Casa De Mayhem, or if you like classical music it could be Camper Van Beethoven, if you are like my wife you could call it Husbands Folly, I suggested Mountain Witch for my PU in honor of my wife, but that didn't fly here, I don't think it will there either. As I suspect (I had a Fleetwood E-1) you will find it a fair chore to tow off road, try Heavyweight. Other names right off the bat, Wilderness Haven, Escape Hatch, Rendevous, Get Away, Mountain Star and if you are a hunter, Critter Gitter. Good Luck and Happy trails.
Our PU is called "Chunky Monkey From Funky Town" The kids came up with it.
Since I co-own with my brother, no offical name. But when I am in it I will call it Hay Hay's Home. I will not go into details, sort of personal.
How about the Hobbit Hole or Gandalf. I love that trilogy.
That is one sweet PUP, you will atract much attention regardless were you go.
Maybe you can name your PUP like Fred and Barney named the boat they co-owned. Fred want to call it "Nautical Lady" and Barney wanted to call it "Queen of the Sea". So they compromised and took the first three letters of Fred's and the last three letters from Barney's making the name of the boat "NauSea".
I'll ask my boys & let come up with a name. I co-own with my bro so he'll have to approve of it.
PUP's name is "The Rolling Resort"
We don't have a name for the pup yet, but we share some of Bryon's "family" names: a dog named Piper and DD named Gracie.
OK. After 2 or 3 failed attempts to name our N2U PuP, I gave up. My DH then decided he was going to name it after one of Rodney Carringtons songs. OH DEAR GOD NO. After playing EVERY cd he has, he decided to name it FRED, after the song. If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing dear R.C., you're missing out. (NOT REALLY). Don't get me wrong, I like Rodney, but FRED for a pup? Fred is ok for your dad, or friend, or other family member. I'm not saying I don't like the name...Now we drive down the road, I look in my rearview mirror and see...Fred. Maybe it will grow on me. (like fungus) I am going to have "FRED" painted somewhere on the camper. Honk if you see us. I'll be the one ducking my head!
Hmmm! we just call it the "PUP", the "Trailer" or the "Motel room on wheels".
