I finally received the license plate for my new camper. The State of PA finally wised-up and started selling personalized plates for trailers.
I've never thought to name any of my vehicles or my campers, but after reading this thread I thinking of naming my pup "Flight Risk" Happily camping with my 2007 Jayco 1006 2012 Nissan Frontier
I suggested 'The Hemorrhoid' since it hangs out the back and makes it harder (for my little truck) to go. The wife didn't find it as humorous as I did. Go figure.
Because of the Americana theme, our's is named Liberty - which also means freedom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I call mine Freedom Seeker. Between working long hours at the office and living in the city I look for my chance of freedom when I camp.
We named ours "The Milpup". That is what we always called our Golden Retreiver, Millie. It is our way to honor our faithful friend of 14+ years. It's been over 3 years since we had to say goodbye to her.
Golgotha! (Biblical, and temporary) We purchased used and previous owner had some custom "tribal tattoo" decals put on with small skulls in the middle! The spare tire carrier had a big skull logo on it as well. One of the first "improvements" the DW recommended was the removal of said skulls. I agreed and peeled the off. The "tribal tatto" decals remain for now, but after the sideboard replacement, only the drivers side will show them. Our question to each other was simply....why?
Mountain Mama - from this moment on. We are from WV and camper didn't have a name until I saw this thread. Kind of ironic since we now live in FL, which makes the name kind of ironic.
ours is named "Gins-House" My 2yo DD Ginevra thought the pup was hers when I brought it home, and would constantly talk about it in the possessive, "My tent", "no brother, it's my house!" The name stuck. Her attachment to it has stuck, and has led to some cute moments. She was having a melt down, the way only 3yo's can ... And insisted that we had to go tuck in her tent and make sure it has a good night. Three hours later I finally relented and we drove out to her uncles place where Gins house was parked, she got out, patted the camper on the head, said goodnight, and climbed back in the truck and went promptly to sleep will I drove home.
We are BRAND NEW to the world of pop up camping, and we wish we had done this sooner! Our PUP's name is Dolly! She's a cute little 1997 Jayco who has already had some renovations at the hand of her previous owner. I'm in the process of doing some reupholstering for the cushions and creating new curtains. Photos coming soon! (and Dolly contains all the last letters of our last name....Lloyd. How cool is that?)
My little side kick who is 10 does this as well. Kept on saying "mine" "my popup" I had to say "no it's mine, but I bought it with her, and nanna and poppop in mind".
We've only had our pup for about 2 weeks, but we name our vehicles, so naturally we thought we should name the pup too. We've decided to just call our NTU pup "the doghouse". Now hubby and I can fight over who gets sent to the doghouse ;-)
Not a name per se, but we call ours the summer cottage. We also stay in it in the driveway alot if it is up. It lets us figure what we will do to it next and also to fix things that went wrong.
