Just bought a used 2005 Rockwood Freedom 1640 LTD. Now trying to rehab it, you know the drill. Will be stored in the driveway, is southern Cali. Had it open for the past 5 days. I even ate breakfast in there this morning before I had to go to work. Will be towing this with a Mazda CX5. And I have lots of questions. Thanks for the resource.

Welcome from Planet Georgia! Have you had a chance to sleep in it? (We call this "Camp Driveway," and encourage it.)

There's a lot of great info on this site for fixing up an old popup. Yup, we know the drill!

We still TENT camp a lot but give up sleeping on the ground years ago... We use two metal frame tent beds that has a slot to slip in an air mattress...

This works out great for us in our three room tent setup. The two tent beds are tied together with tie wraps and fill out on the back room wall to wall...

This is the only picture I could with our setup and you can see the front of the tent beds...

Very comfortable… Of course no matter what one buys these days there will be a learning curve on how to use it... The air mattress world has the out side air pressure to deal with haha... You start out just fine but around 2-3AM the outside air pressure does its normal changes and you start sinking down into the air mattress haha...had to come up with a good way to keep the air pressure up in the air mattress all night haha...

Ours also has the foam toppers and foam pillows which also has strange thing happening. Mine seem to get hard as a rock if the inside temp drops below freezing... So here we are waking up in our own pad depression which is hard as a rock until we get some inside heat going haha... Maybe this is the brand foam pads I got don't know... I first noticed the foam pillows doing this laying in the back seat of my truck over-nite when it got below zero degrees outside... Strange to see a frozen pillow haha...
