The Portal has been great helping me find all the thinks my camper was missing and figuring out how to use them so thanks everyone!

I am missing what I imagine is about a 4" strap with female snaps at either end to help hold the door up as a safety when stowed. Can anyone please tell me what they are called or where to find them?

Thanks again!!

It's probably not camper specific, so a trip to JoAnn's Fabric or even a canvas shop should get you what you need.

http://colemanpopupparts.com/products/shower-door-strap is close. You need a 3/4" canvass strap with some snaps. Mount one end to the ceiling with a male snap in it and put the female snap on the other end. This will snap on the snap on the end.

You can adjust the length after you mount one end to the ceiling. You want the door to hang level when the other end is on the bracket over the door. (You don't need the velcro piece shown. This is just for reference.)

I have a N2M 1986 Coleman Chesapeake, and it has an eye bolt screwed into each side of metal door support tracks, and a bungee cord hooked in each hook supporting the door. Cheap but effective.

We just had one break (the snap pulled through the webbing of the strap). I simply went to the fabric store, bought a heavy duty snap kit and a small piece of webbing. Cost? less than $9 Male end is screwed into the ceiling and on the door already. Webbing has a female piece on both ends. Just snap it in place. Easiest fix ever.
