Not sure what happened this morning, but I was driving the TV with PUP in tow through morning rushhour to get trailer inspected and various other things done. As I came to a stop at my exit, I noticed that the light on the controller went from green to red (good), then started to
flicker(not sure whats going on) then it went out completely (oh ^#%)
Within a minute, the light on the controller came back on strong green, only to flicker when I pressed the brake at the next light, then it went out again. Made it to the RV dealer, and parked the PUP, and had my order written, and explained to the service writer whats going on, but he didn't offer any sugggestions.

I think it could possibly be a PUP brake magnet issue, since the controller came back on line ok, but who knows? It could be a bad circuit breaker from the battery to the controller. Anyone else have thoughts? I'll know within a day or so as they have it for awhile, but would like to know if this is something to look out for in the future.

Could be a bad connection. I had similar problems, then used a dielectric grease in the plugs, and haven't had an issue since. Something cheap and easy to try.

I certainly will check that. Seems strange how it comes back after a min or two, and functions fine then goes on the fritz again. This is a newly wired EB, with solid connections in the TV that tested ok after I installed them 2 weeks ago. That is why I think it is the PUP since my trip to pick it up was close to home 2 weeks ago and this trip today was 25 miles and brakes used quite a bit. We'll see.

What size circuit breaker was installed? It could be the breaker kicking off and then resetting itself.

20 Amp breaker installed as recommended for 1 axle. I used 12 Ga. wire from battery -> breaker -> controller.

Got the PUP back from the RV dealer. The magnet was bad on the left hand side causing the short and breaker to trip. They replaced both sides, packed the bearings, replaced 1 tire, breakaway switch was shot, needed a new battery for the breakaway kit & NYS inspection.
Spent a little more than I was expecting to, but this was the only cost to me as the trailer was given to me from Mom and I wanted to be sure it was ready to go.
