My battery was on its way out and i used an impact wrench on the manual twisting part and broke it
Called the LCI tongue company and they told me to get a new unit.

the tongue works fine and i am now worried about what if...any one faced this challange

The 3/4 Socket of soft metal on top of the manual end cracked off.

Pictures would help. Can the "socket" be welded back on?

Using an Impact was a bad choice. A simple drill will work without bashing the attachments and gearing.
If your camper battery was dead you can always use jumper cables and get power to it from the tow vehicle, or supply it with 12 volts and a 7 wire plug.

P.s. Harbor freight has them cheap

Never saw one that was hard to crank. We crank them on the lot all the time.

I would put a socket on the metal that's left and spot weld it through the hole where the ratchet drive attaches.
