You got that right! My youngest ds sent me this last night.
She Who Must Be Obeyed went in shopping yesterday.
As it was a sunny day she was wearing a baseball cap with a large peak.
Under new laws she also wore a face mask.
The shop assistant asked her to remove the hat as she couldn't see her face ?
As we say here in Blighty "You couldn't make it up"!
Now you ask me to take my ball cap off I will be feeling naked. What a crazy world we are living in when they tell you to remove your hat before the mask.
I used to work for at a license bureau. Remove your headgear was a usual request for a Driver's License Photo. What now?
"Can I get a retake, my mask isn't straight...? Thanks~!"
. Good thing I renewed before this pandemic, never even thought about that. My guess is you can take the mask off for the few seconds it takes for the photo then put it on.
It made me remember a lot of stuff. Had a guy come in with a Mohawk. Cameras auto adjust, so kept taking a pic of the center of the 2ft rise, with a little scalp. Had to find a blue piece of paper, matching the background, to hide is Mohawk behind. Dude looked bummed out he's need to wash his hard to get rid of the "hawk. Gotta hook that dude up.
Last week I had to go to a physical bank, which is rare. I had to go inside, which is quite rare.
Then I realized, I am standing in the lobby of a real bank, with others, with a black mask on my face.
I haven't been to our bank lobby in a while, but on the door there is (was) a sign requiring you remove sunglasses and hats and hoodies that obscured or partially obscured your face.
Can you imagine the line up at an ID parade
It's funny to see people get out of their car and almost to the store when they realize they forgot their mask. Back to the car cursing all the way and get the mask. Yes, it's happened to me.
This made me laugh, thank you.
My DS2 works at our local Wally Mart, quite often he is on the closing shift, so either the DW or myself will pick him up and drive him to his place ( he lives at our student rental unit in town) , I often see people do exactly as you describe.. funny as hell somet8, say one older couple , start heading into the store, husband remembers he forgot his mask, returns to the car to get, his b$#@! Of a wife is yammering at him the whole time. Husband asks wife where hers is, she says "in my purse, so I always have it".. 30 seconds later there they are walking back to the car.. husband is now laughing giving her the gears... apparently she took it out of her purse to wash it... lol
