So after a couple seasons with the pop up I'm looking for a better way to jack the tongue up. We have a wheel but it's too heavy to move around by hand so it's really pointless.

Usually we use lynx level blocks and tongue jackon top of that till level. But honestly doesn't seem as safe.

I did some searching and found this:

Anyone use one of these?

If not what do you do?

Since you don't list the type camper or model ... or if it's a swivel or an A-frame jack your referring to, very difficult to offer any kind of an input.

Just sit it on the ground, geez. The ground isn't going anywhere unless there is a mudslide or something. And if there is, your tongue jack will be the least of your worries.

Not sure what you don't feel "safe" about....

I took a 4x8 x12 notched it out for my wheel to sit in. It acts as a chock, creates a bigger footprint than the wheel so it not sink into the ground and reduces the length the jack needs to lower.

I don't understand the safety concern with the Lynx Blocks under the tongue jack either. That's a common use for them. They spread the weight onto a greater area. What is your safety concern with them, nighthawk?

That's not much different than using lynx blocks.

Yeah but the wheels not goin' anywhere if you use a donut... Lynx blocks wouldn't be very stable... and don't you level using the jack handle to raise and lower anyway?

I'm with Orchid here......If my wheels are chocked and locked, my tongue isn't going anywhere....I've tried to move it by hand.....isn't going anywhere at all.

^THIS!!

If you really want it stable, get all the weight off the axles. Only a hurricane will move it then.

Trailer jack dolly wheel for moving on concrete or asphalt ~ or the optional "foot" for more those pea rock sites.

I use an old hunk of railroad tie .. It's about 10x10x10 inches .. set the tongue jack down on that and it ain't moving...
