Fire Extinguisher Question

Hola, campers!

Does anybody here happen to know what size fire extinguisher fits into the recess in my 1992 Coleman Cedar? When I bought the trailer, it didn't have the extinguisher, but I want to have one there. I am looking to buy one, but I need to know the dimensions/model that fits, as I am not one to create brackets to place the extinguisher. In other words, I just want to use the location provided for it.

Thanks, everybody!!

Can you measure the opening then go to your favorite box store and compare?

That's the goal, but, unfortunately, I never have time to get my trailer out of the garage, set it up, and measure that opening.
I was being lazy and hopping someone out here might happen to know which extinguisher came with the camper, as it is the original holder.

Nonetheless, that is a great idea!

Nearly all of the little extinguishers come with a new plastic bracket that you can install with a screwdriver...

Thanks for answering! The idea is that I want to use the original mounting system and was hoping someone else might have an idea about which one came with the camper.

This picture is from the parts manual. It's labeled for a Roanoke, but ours is a Cedar.
The bracket is number 4, and 5 is the extinguisher itself.

Does anybody out here have the ability to read and decipher the part number??

Thank you!

Ted

I use a small marine fire extinguisher I bought at wall mart. I had to attach the new holder inside the old recessed holder.

Unfortunately, fire extinguishers are mesured by the extinguisment power and not by size. So , it might take a bit to find one that fits , anything smaller might do. Your extinguisher , if a kidda, might be under warranty replacement. So you can check that also.
