Hi, hope you are all well.

I have a 2008 Starcraft 2106 which is new to us.

We had our first camping trip last week, which went very well. We brought a water jug, since I hadn’t had a chance to sterilize the freshwater holding tank yet.

I would like to use the freshwater tank for washing up. It’s a small 10 gallon tank but should last for a week or so.

Don’t know what kinda condition the tank is in though so tried to sterilize yesterday. Mixed some bleach in with water and added to the fill port on the side.

The water I added leaked out of the drain hose under the trailer immediately. There is no valve underneath to close the drain. I checked the manual, which was not helpful to locate the drain valve. Couldn’t find anything on the google either...

Anyone know where the drain valve is located for the freshwater holding tank? I would like to close it to fill the tank.

    Thanks

You said it leaked out of the drain hose. If the valve is still there it will be somewhere between the end of that hose and the tank.

    Thanks gladecreekwy,
So where do you access the valve? Do you have to get to it from inside?

It’s not underneath the trailer. When I pop the trailer open, I will look for it under the bench seat and under the sink cabinet.

Do you think the valve might be in there?

Our tank is under the dinette seat.

Mine has a T handle on the end of the hose you pull to open the drain it. First time I filled ours the water poured out of a split in the fill hose.

Our water tank is under the dinette seat, and the drain valve is on the underside of the tank on the right side. So I have to reach under the tank to access the valve. It's rather awkward and I never would have found it had the salesperson not shown us where it was.
