Friends Creek, Last camping trip this year , Friends Creek.

To all our friends who love the camping experience. This'll be our last hurrah this year. On October 27th to the 29th we are planning to meet at Friends Creek by Cisco Illinois. This is a nice quiet little county park. We just got done with our Fall Rally at Morrain Veiw SP and we heard a remark that we didn't get all our talking done at it. Soooo , Here we go. Take I72 to the Cisco Exit, turn south to the bottom of the slope and go west at county rd 2400N. Go 2 miles to Friends Creek Rd.and turn right Go north 1 and a half miles. Arrive at park on your right. Camping is only $20 a night with electric. Nearest town is 5 miles away at Argenta. It only has a Casey's for gas and a loaf of bread. So bring everything you need. Showers are clean. Heres hoping you can come out. FB us if you can make it. Ill have the fire going.

Well it looks like our last outing as well. Weather forecast is for 27 degrees on Saturday night so the heater will be running. Glad to have the hybrid with the insulated underbelly. Precooling the fridge tonight. Sounds like just IP and us so there will be plenty of room available for last minute brave heart's. I can smell the popcorn roasting over the fire now.

Thanks Big Popper. It was great to have you there with us. I enjoyed the 1.9 mile hike as well and the Italian Beef with the chili. We will do this again. I'm just surprised more didn't come out for the day. I had a gallon & a half of chili left . We will be eating on it for a week. LOL.

At least we had the one visitor! What a swell campground. Cleanest showers I think I have seen, and nice roomy sites. This would make a great Rally site with the added benefit that the water was passable unlike Moraine View. It was really nice to sit around the fire with you guys. Chili was tasty but after 3 bowls the night before I hit my limit, Besides we had to practice the pie iron Ham and Havarti cheese on Sourdough again. Thanks again for bringing popcorn oil, I'm still working on that process. See everyone in the spring. Hybrid goes to storage tomorrow.
