Hello, everyone!

I've been lurking on PUP for several weeks as the wife and I plan our transition from tent camping to a popup, just as we did when I was a kid. We really couldn't have picked a worse time, though. Seems like everyone wants a popup and good ones are hard to come by. (No fixer-upper for me.) We got tired of looking and broke down and paid a dealer way too much for a 2013 Palomino Y-series 4127, though it's in pretty great condition.

It's already been an adventure. We drove 1 1/2 hrs last week to see it, then back yesterday to do the final check & buy. Of course, my TV started having engine trouble on the way, so the camper's still at the dealer. No camp driveway this weekend :-( Now, the race is on to get that fixed, get back down there, install my new Autowbrake on site (they wanted $300 to do it!), get home, get prepped, and go camping next weekend at Cunningham Falls State Park in MD.

It's gonna be a busy week, but we will go camping. Oh yes, we will go camping!

Cheers,

Chris

Welcome to the Portal from South Carolina. Check the tire date codes, including the spare. Make replacement part of the deal, if they are close to 5 years old.

Thanks, WrkrBee.

Actually, based on my reading from this site, I already knew to check the tire dates! They're from mid-March 2018. The tread looks great, so I'm hoping to get another 2-3 years out of them.

(I honestly don't know how my dad knew anything at all about our RVs without the internet!)
