Have a great Labor Day weekend and then get ready!!
I am getting so excited!!!! I have already started packing!!! Looking forward to meeting everyone and attending my first Rally!!! I've had my camper since 2003 and don't know how I have missed out on this for so long!!!! Wish I could come in on Thursday but unfortunately gotta work so I can pay for my camping habit!!!!
See everyone soon!!!!
We have decided to book site 132!!! This is our first rally but it will be really hard to pull us away from the lake and our kayaks, especially in the mornings! Looking forward to the gathering on Saturday evening though!
Welcome to the Rally, Ladyhawke! You're going to find you have a beautiful lake with plenty of time to paddle and we'll all pray for great weather! Papachaz has some extra tee-shirts if you want to buy them. PM him and he can let you know the scoop. Please PM me with your names, from where in FL you hail, kids' names and ages for game/activity purposes (shown only on our handout sheet at the Rally), and if you would like to bring something for the potluck, I will list it.
mwownbey, I've started packing too, but it's for the extra supplies we'll be bringing for the Potluck set up, etc. The more I set aside, the more I want to get there!
See everyone really soon!
Welcome ladyhawke! Finally we have someone from Florida! Everyone else is from Alabama, Georgia!. Come on you folks from Tennessee, South/North Carolina! We have more sites to reserve!
We are setting aside things for the rally also.
Target is has a lot of their outdoor items on clearance. We picked up some Tiki Torches for $1.98 each.
Anyone looked at a long range weather outlook?

I called and ordered some rally decals. I'll actually be up there for work next week and I'll pick up the ones I ordered.
I'll be using the Tiki Torches @ our site, but I do have something else to offer up for the raffle.
Nothing wrong with camping in the snow. It is the Hail and High Winds that I don't enjoy!!!!!
Hail and High Winds = Rock n' Roll
HAHAHA!!! Good one!!!!
Stop by and chat a bit. I'm at the Benjamin Moore paint store on 76(515) right at the 69 junction. I'll only be here on Thursday though Holiday!! yeaaaaa!
Welcome Ladyhawke from your neighbor on site 131, looking forward to this. Thanks for adding a Fl element to the Rally. Wish I could bring my Hobie Mirage Tandem for you to play with but haven't set it up with my PUP.
Drive safely and see you soon.
Y'all better be careful with Ga Judy and stormy weather! She has a problem of stormy weather following her around!
So it's double-bad luck, because my husband and I haven't had a dry camping experience since we bought our PUP a year ago. My heart absolutely sunk when I read GA Judy's forecast. I thought 'oh no, here we go again'.
But bad weather or not....we're determined to have a wonderful time. Can't wait to meet you all. Just hope we don't have to get too cozy in the campground bathrooms.
mtnkube, ordered two of the Decals. Thanks for picking them up.
I'm so ready rain or shine (prefer the shine). Way I figure it, if the "stuff" (no, I won't say the word) follows some of you around, we just HAVE to catch a break some time with those kinds of records.
Surgipat, didn't you miss a tornado last year yourselfs? From what I saw about a month ago, the local hospital was real lucky! To be honest, as a kid, a tornado went our our house and I have worked my share of diasters!
On another note,
I too cannot wait to meet everyone to have a great time and some good company with some great food! Rain or shine!
I haven't heard from papachaz in a few days. I hope all is getting better for him. I know he is having some internet troubles.
Today, I got on the reservation site and learned that site #150 is reserved.
I hope its another portal member. If not, we have some new friends with us that will be wanting to join the portal!
