Goose Island BLM Campground

Stayed here while visiting Moab, Arches and Canyonlands NP. The price was $7.50 a night with our Senior Pass but we only paid $3.75 because the camp host allowed us to share a large lot with our friends and split the cost. What a deal! There was no water here but there were vault toilets. We got water about a mile away at Lions Park in Moab. Loved the views of the rock cliffs and the Colorado River. Loved Moab too.

Thinking about going to Moab in early April. What were the pros and cons in your mind?

Of the campground?

Pros: cheap, close to town, short drive to Arches and Canyonlands, beautiful, right on the river

Cons: no hookups, on a busy road (didn't bother us at all because we were gone sightseeing most of the time)

Loved Moab, especially the brewery. Lol. Great area!
