So, we've been fooling with our old hunk-a junk 1994 Rockwood PUP for well over a year now. Fixing leaks, replacing rotten wood in floor and ceiling, installing new counter tops, repainting, re-sealing..etc. And after pouring buckets of time and money into it, and inquiring on the boards about whether we should keep going or list it, we decided to begin the hunt for a new PUP. We figured we'd keep fixing it until it was sale-worthy. We looked at the dealerships, and fell in love with the 2014 Rockwood 2280. Put a $100 deposit on it and everything, but weren't quite ready to commit. Kept looking at Craigslist. Ffwd to today. I got up early this AM, and was scouring camper ads, when I saw a 2000 Rockwood Roo for sale. We had looked at them at the dealership and loved the floorplan, but the expense and TV towing weight were prohibitive. Anyway, It looked like it was in fabulous condition and priced over 5k less than the 2280, which meant we would also be able to afford a ntu TV to pull it. I told my DH I was going to call at 9am. I called and left an email. No response, so we started working on the old camper. As we were working on misc interior repairs, one of my almost 3 year olds closed the camper door on the 1 year old's finger. An ER visit, and many tears and stitches later, the finger is ok, but I AM over that camper. (It wouldn't have happened if the damn door closed properly in the first place!)

As we were leaving the ER, the seller called and asked when we wanted to see it. Explained the situation and told him we'd come see it at 6. We arrived, and the thing was in excellent condition for a 14 year old hybrid. Brand new A/C, New tires, recently re-sealed, bunk ends perfect, awning perfect, stove NEVER used, all appliances in excellent working order,no weird smells, I just couldn't pass it up! So that's how we wound up with a NTU Rockwood Roo Hybrid... [:D] Now to find a TV to pull it...

Nice! I was looking at that same camper on Craigslist. I was wondering if it was as good as it looked!

We have decided to hold on to our pup a little longer.
