Does it matter if top is up or down to add grease to my goshen system?

Down. The lift springs need to be in the spring tubes in order to ensure that they get the grease.

I cannot reach my front zerc with a grease gun. It is inside the u- shaped channel of my water tank. Anyone tried shooting grease inside the front opening around cable tube? How hard is it to add a zerc I can read? No problem getting to rear zerc fitting.

Would be a matter of just getting a wrench on it and turning it to where you can get the gun on it?

Talked to the guy at Goshen. He advised not to drill and tap in a new zerc. He said they extrude extra metal to the tube where the place the zerc. He advised me to shoot grease into the open end of the tube where the cable enters, grease ends up at the same place as the zerc. Simple solutions...
