Ok, I have a question that I am hoping I can get some suggestions on. My dad just picked up a 1996 Jayco Pup so he can join us on camping trips in his own camper. He got a great deal on it and it was in fantastic shape with the exception of the curtains. They were sun worn and falling apart. He bought new tabs for the slider from our local Jayco dealer, and some curtains at Walmart. The curtains fit PERFECT! all I had to do was sew the tabs on them and slide them on. Perfect size color etc. We are thrilled with how that came out. Now the problem is......I made valances for him too and they came out great but I'm at a loss of how to hang them. The old valances were stapled to some sort of plastic/rubber strip and stapled to the ceiling as that year's Jayco's did theirs from the factory. I am trying to hang these new ones without stapling into the roof again. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this? My colman has a track for my valances but this Jayco does not. Please help. I need to get this project finished before his first camping trip this coming Memorial Day weekend. Thanks so much.

You might get some adhesive backed Velcro and put it up on the wall above the curtains and then sew the other half of the Velcro to the valances and just stick them up.

    Happy Camping!

That's how they built my trailer. It works.

    Wow! Thanks guys.

I have a 1987 Coleman Shenandoah. Obviously, didn't come with valances. But, I thought they would be super cool. I don't sew, but my mom does, and she was nice enough to ahhh, volunteer to make curtains for me. Anyway, I wanted valances. I thought they added a lot. So, we were talking about what to do. She suggested one of those curtain rods that is adjustable and just goes up between two sides. This is much much better though. And so simple.

    Thanks!
