It's time for the our first camping trip of the season. The Oregon Coast is about a 90 minute drive for us. It's a site we both visited as kids and has become our tradition as the first camp out each season. We leave tomorrow and return on Monday. Family coming to stay with us Friday and Saturday nights. Weather should be calm (for the Coast) and mostly dry. Nights will be cool and damp but that doesn't stop us - we're NW natives! We should have some nice low tides for beach combing. Aspey, the amazing English Springer Spaniel will get plenty of exercise running the waves. Please send good thoughts all goes well. Our family's stress has been at an all time high lately (for LOTS of reasons) so we really need a few days of peace. The beach usually provides that solace - here's hoping she does it again. Can't wait to smell the salt air tomorrow.
Camping is always good for the body and soul. Here in the midwest, we head to the woods or lakes. Being so close to the coast is a double blessing, you will also benefit from the salt air. The entire family should enjoy the respite. Safe journey and happy camping! Diane
NOT: Headed to Oregon Coast tomorrow! Best laid plans. We both woke up sick this morning so cancelled our trip. Very disappointed but our health comes first. Still to rainy and cold here to risk getting even sicker. Next up Memorial Weekend! We'll be ready by then!
