Hi everyone! My family hails from Kalamazoo MI. My hubby wasn’t a huge camper growing up, but loves it now as an adult. Me, I’ve been tent camping since before I could walk. My family loves camping and being outdoors! We got a pup up to satisfy my need for tent camping, and my hubbys need for a real bed and some amenities. My husband is a former mechanic and now works in the building industry and does cabinet making on the side. I’m a semi amateur seamstress and upholsterer with a creative streak. We are first time parents of a beautiful little girl who has overcome a ton of challenges in her first 17 months of life so far and with more to come. She has had several surgeries, including multiple open heart surgeries (the reason for my username ) and a foot amputation resulting in a prosthetic leg. We are the proud owners of a ‘97 Eagle 10UD that has become my personal baby project over the last 3 years. I did a temporary “glamp” job on the inside since a lot of stuff was broken and run down. So far it’s gotten new curtains/valences, painted the interior, and I sewed a custom awning for it. Our eventual goal is to gut the interior and rework it to how we want to use it, and I’m planning on fully repairing and repainting the exterior as well. We’ve said that we want a camper with the bare essentials and want this baby to last at least another 20 years. I hope to find some great help and ideas for our pop up journey!
