Hello from Kentucky

    Thanks! Those round things are little metal storage containers. They are magnetic so we just mounted a metal bar and they stick right to it. We use them to store matches, toothpicks, and chalk since we painted the table in the picture with chalkboard paint. They came from Ikea, I copied the link so hopefully it works

    Did you need to do anything special to prepare the table for chalkboard paint?

    We used a paint from Lowes called Valspar Reserve. It is supposed to be more durable. It hasn't really been put to the test yet, but it seems to be thicker and covers well.

    Actually, the tables that came in our pup were warped beyond repair from water damage. So, we had to make new tables.. Since we were using new wood we didn't use a primer or anything with the chalkboard paint, just sanded and painted.
