Love reading this site! I've been a big tent camper my whole life. My wife and I enjoy taking our two kids on family weekend vacations around our beautiful Island. I also race Motocross and sleep in a tent every weekend that I race. I drive a '12 Rav4 6cyl with tow package, and heavy rear susp. (b/c it's the 7 seat package as well..comes with a beefier susp). Looking at a Jayco 100fd or a Palomino Banshee SV-1 (both have smaill deck on front), so I can take my mx bike and family on my w/e excursions!

Family and I just came back from Florida before Christmas. Went on a Disney Cruise! Was the trip of a lifetime for all of us (course it'll take a lifetime to payoff, but well worth it!). We're buried deep in snow up here and tired of shovelling the driveway, bring on the spring!

Another welcome from southern Ontario. Haven't been to PEI since I was about 5 years old. Can't remember much about it, that was 45 years ago, but I've always wanted to go back. Holiday time restraints won't allow it though, so I'll have to wait until retirement. I used to ride a lot of motocross during my teenage years. Had a RM 125 that went like a scared cat. Into the quads now.
Good to have you join the group.

Welcome to the portal from Pickering, Ontario. We spent some time there in PEI in the mid 1990s. The island atmosphere and friendly island people gave us the greatest experience ever. Most beautiful place in all of Canada. The only reason we are still here and haven't move there (yet) is because of W I N T E R! However, we will be back soon for another overdue visit. We still talk about the beautiful red sand beach in Summerside.

I lived in Ottawa for a couple years and visit there often. My wife and I and kids used to enjoy camping out on Golden Lake. I have a brother who moved to Alberta nine years ago. We plan to take a few weeks and travel through the states on our way there, and stay North through all our Provinces on the way back. We will camp along the way. Lots of memories will be made! Hi to fello mx'er Wrenchgear! Dave, what do you own and where do you recommend dealing? I'm heading to Halifax tomorrow and plan on stopping at a few RV outlets along the way!

Golden Lake was a favorite of my brother in law, but we always wind up at Round Lake, right next door.

Welcome Kurt, from the Peterborough, Ontario area.

Never been to PEI or any of the Eastern provinces but it's on our camping list for next year!

Have a wonderful season with the family; if you're ever in this area this season, give us a shout out!

    Hello Kurt!
Welcome to the Portal. My sister has property on Point Prim, we go there every year. This year we are thinking about camping rather than renting a cottage. We were thinking of Lord Selkirk park. Have you ever camped there?

I haven't been to lord Selkirk, but I would highly recommend Twin Shores. Awesome grounds for all ages and right on a beautiful white sands beach with huge dunes. Also, Mill River has a water park and a pro golf course. And than of course, any campground in cavendish is close to beaches but very "touristy"!
