My very first post here, looking for advice & guidance from someone who has done this before.
We just purchased a 1997 Rockwood Freedom 1640 that has some water damage and the entire roof/ceiling needs to come off and be replaced.

Hubby is pretty handy, and has the drive to do this. Can anyone share similar projects? What’s inside the roof, best way to reconstruct?

The ceiling is peeling off, and the outside aluminum has some very small holes. We believe it’s from previous owners stacking stuff on top of the roof for storage and poking holes in it.

What about the trim boards at the top? I’ve been reading & searching online, but hubby would feel more comfortable knowing what to expect, and the best approach/what to use.

Thank you in advance for any helpful links/pics/advice you have to share!
He prefers videos, but we’ll take what we can find!

This guy has several videos documenting an extensive repair
