I am looking for some help - I have a 1987 Palomino pop up, and on the lift arms are little plastic protective covers. A couple of them are cracked, and they get caught on the outside screen when we are packing up, so I want to replace them (I purchased some). The problem is, they are riveted to the lift arms. What's the best solution to attach the new ones? I don't want to accidentally damage the lift arms and I have no idea how to remove rivets.

Here's one that's in relatively good shape: https://db.tt/S9RJonVZ
    Here's what I want to replace: https://db.tt/fspsCnFk

Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you.

Use a drill bit that is slightly larger than the whole in the rivet. The head will be cut off and the blind end will fall in; or you may need to push it into the lift arm. Then place the new cover, using a POP rivet gun, insert the new rivet in the hole and pump 'til it pops.
