Hi all

Hi all, we just bought a 1986 Palomino Popup camper to put on our 2005 1/2 ton silverado. We have always enjoyed camping and was looking at getting a 5th wheel, but we like to tow a boat and have recently bought some horses and wanted something we could pull a horse trailer with also. Thought about a class C motor home, but for what they cost and the insurance to have them sitting in the yard most of the year seemed a bit excessive. We were looking at a boat at our local dealer and he had this little camper he had taken on trade, and it seemed like just the right fit. So we picked it up on Saturday.

Now we've been looking at it, and it needs to be wired so the running lights at least work, but the rest of it runs either off the battery or the 120 plug it (which also charges the battery).

Any way, glad to have found a group of pop up enthusiasts. Although we've owned campers before, this is the first pop up, so we're looking forward to asking questions and giving feedback on our experiences.

Incidentally, we live on 5 acres in NE WY if any fellow popuppers (is that a word?) are in the neighborhood traveling between Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills and Yellowstone.
