Hi there. I'm currently a tent camper, thinking of getting into the pup world. Of course, everyone is trying to talk me into a TT, which is not an option due to space. I'm looking to get a pop up that has kitchen, ac/heat, shower, toilet I looked at the post talking about what should be inspected prior to purchasing Any words of guidance other than the inspection? Should I just stick with a tent? (Someone on another site actually told me to do that) Any makes/models to stay away from? Thanks!
Welcome to the portal from Michigan! Let me first answer the "stick with a tent" question. No. At least not in my humble opinion. After owning a couple of pop ups, I would never go back to a tent. Call me spoiled. Any makes/models to stay away from? Again, no imho. Pretty much all pop ups are created equal. Your choices will really boil down to features, floor plan, weight, condition, condition, and condition. I would start by looking at the towing limitations of your vehicle(s).
from the Connecticut shoreline. Well tent never has a toilet or shower does it. But a popup is better than sleeping on the ground. Could have water tank and pump. A propane stove and furnace. To have a shower "inside" the camper would need a larger popup.
I have a Chevy k2500 hd 4x4. From what I've been told, it can pull a 5th wheel. I figure I shoud be good for a pop up . Lol
