We aren't really duners, my sister and her husband are. We have an annual family camping trip to Mears/Silver every September. And as we live near Holland, it's in our radius for quick weekend trips leaving Friday after work.

That summer must have been extra cool. I now camp with a heating blanket after that experience. I had a 2 and 5 year old with me as well. Burrr!! They slept well though!!

If you like the area.try John Gurney Park in Hart.......Quieter and your in the center. !0 minutes from Silver and 12 from Pentwater and cheaper. They just put in a new playgound about 2 weeks ago.
