Hi all! I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself! My husband (KampingKevin) and I are proud new owners of a PopUp and new to the portal! Just from lurking (and by recommendation of FLBill) this forum is awesome! We learned a lot about PUPs before we bought ours just from research done on here. You all definitely helped in the decision making process, so THANK YOU!!

We just had our inaguaral PUP trip to Fort Desoto (our favorite and also very close park) near St. Pete Beach and we had a blast! We also bought a canoe the weekend after getting the PUP so combined with our Paddleboard, there was a lot of fun to be had!

We've already done a few mods to it (like making the hanging pantry that someone showed us how to do on here) and have many more in the plans!

Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and say Thanks for having us!

Welcome! I'm from the Central Florida area and still learning myself about pop ups. Fort DeSoto was one of the big reasons we wanted a pop up.

Welcome aboard from Jax, FL. There is a PUP Rally happening down at Oscar-Shear SP that I'm sure you guys would have a great time attending in May. You can find it here if you're interested.

Welcome from N/W Fla. there are a lot of great state parks down your way... Give Mayaka S.P. a try...also up a little further is Oleno S.P. and if you like deer in your camp site that is the place, Paynes Prairie S.P. near Gainesville has a herd of Buffalo and good walking trails plus a small Lake. There is enough State Parks in Fl. to keep you PUP on the road for awhile...

[8D]Thanks, scubacamper! We did sign up for the rally and can't wait to meet other fellow PUPers! So excited! We've never been to Oscar Scherer park, although we did try one time. The TV (but we were tent campers back then) broke down on the way down so we never made it! [:(]

Nineoaks2004, I used to see a field of buffalo and zebra not far south from the Paynes Prairie section, I wonder if they have anything to do with the buffaloes that are on the Prairie? Are they just free roaming? That would be so cool to see! Thanks for the suggestions, we will definitely have to add them to our list. And yes, there are definitely enough State Parks to keep us busy! We just have to prioritize our list! HA! I eventually want to make it up to North Georgia and hit some Georgia parks, ,they look so beautiful!

I love Ft. Desoto beach.

We don't have a PUP yet but are going Saturday to look at one we are trading our quad for. Hopefully the trade will go through. Our last year effort to trade was a no go. When we got to the PUP the pictures looked great but in person it had a lot of water damage so we walked away with no PUP>

We are headed for our first camping trip at the end of the month with some friends and didn't want to tent camp. I haven't done that in years. We are headed to Ginnie Springs.

Maybe one day we will run into each other.
