Okay, so something real fishy is going on. I have zero pressure/water coming out of my hot water tap, but when I use the cold water faucet, there is hot water coming from the cold.

What the heck could be going on?

If your supply hose is laying in the sun, you will get hot water out of the cold for just a little bit. Sounds like all three valves are closed at the water heater by-pass.

If it's not by-passed, there's a kink or blockage. I'd probably start by pulling the hot water line on the faucet to see if you have a blockage there. The faucet probably has the smallest orifice in the hot water system. It would also tell you if you have hot water to the faucet.

Make sure the faucets on the outside shower and inside shower are turned off, sounds like a cross connection.

Okay, so I thought it might be the outside shower. I check that and I have both hot and cold coming from them.

Next I’ll check for a blockage, but even if their is a kink or blockage, that doesn’t make sense that I have HOT water coming out of my cold tap.

Are the water lines reversed on the faucet?
