Hello. I have a 1994 Jayco 1207. I have run the heater very little at home but never camping. The heater appears to function fine, it cycles on and off correctly. My question is how hot the air coming out of the furnace should be. I checked it once and it was in the 150 degree range and I thought that was too high.

On mine the grate gets hot enough so you can’t keep your hand on it for more than a few seconds. Probably around the same as yours. Definitely can’t let stuff lay in front of it

Thats a pretty normal temperature. As mentioned, keep the area clear.

Pretty darned hot - so if you hold cold clothes in front of it they heat up fast :)

It just seems so hot. Especially only 20 inches from the dinette. I will probably experiment with it in the driveway this coming weekend. Thanks for replying.

It should be hot - it’s a furnace. Typical duct temp in a car is around 140 with heat on high.
