the guy that bought our pop up messaged me: 'we forgot the owners packet, how do you light the fridge again?". my mind goes to a family of 5 w/o refrigeration. oh no! I message back whaat I remember, (he has the instructions, but left them at home) I actually thought about driving to Elephant Butte where they were camped to make sure they remembered how to set up and take down the pup. I feel so obligated!! why me?

I didn't even get a manual with my pup. But within a week, I had made up a binder with all the manuals I could find for my Coleman and all it's appliances, even the lift repair and parts manuals.

    It's about being prepared.

There's no way I would've gone camping with our NTU pup without knowing all that I needed to know about its setup and use beforehand, and we don't even have kids...

I would send them a YouTube link and be done with it.
I agree with @NTL1991 about being prepared.

I was brought up by the knocks of lessons learned. If I forgot my manual at home that is on me. I will just have to figure it out on my own or go without. I agree send them a link and be done. I know you still care about the popup and want its new family to enjoy it as much as your family did, but somethings are best learned on their own. Perhaps they will join the portal to research for their own.

Your sense of caring is commendable. Like others have said you cannot hold this guy's hand now or you will be on call for every little thing that comes up forever.

I like sending them the youtube link. The new owner does have to stand on there own two feet sooner or later.

Since they are millennials, you would think that they had already googled it right after they Instagrammed all of their friends that they arrived at the campgrounds.

Oh my goodness do NOT drive there! Haha! I’ve been tempted to text the peeps I bought mine from but absolutely have not because that’s obnoxious.

I kept contact with our PO, but didn't pester him with questions. I too, like the youtube idea, but even that may prolong the requests. If it becomes a habit, you can always just say, "Without the manual in front of me, I just can't remember."

I think it takes quite a bit of nerve to contact the PO with questions while you're camping. That would really catch me off guard. I'm sure they have phones they can Google the info on.

Thanks all for the input. You are all correct. Guy got all the owners manuals, I went over everything. Probably too many warm beers. I won't respond anymore! He got a deal, he can figure it out!

I don't mind if someone calls with a little question here of there, so long as it doesn't put me out of the way. It costs me nothing to make them a little happier and it makes me feel good knowing I helped. Traveling there (to me) is a little over the top.
