How many of you actually use the small 3-way refrigerator in your PUP?

Use mine all the time, like others also carry a 12v cooler.

It keeps the fridge about 5 degrees colder. When temps are in mid to high 90's the fridge want to be in mid to upper 40's. The small 12v computer fan on the upper vent grate dropped temps down by about 5 degrees.

I use mine every trip. Between it and a Yeti cooler I have no problems keeping food cold. The yeti will keep ice up to 8 days with pretty constant use.

Since we do our cooking outside we rely on one of those high-tech coolers which lasts for five days. We use the fridge mostly for beverages. Neither the wife or I like getting down on our hands and knees to find what we are looking for.

Replaced ours with a 12V Engel - something that works in hot weather :) [we have a good solar PV system on the Aliner]

Every trip! Food in the fridge and drinks in a cooler with ice so the fridge isn't opened all the time. Pre-cool before trip. Any meat planned for after 2nd day goes in frozen. Fill all empty space with cold or frozen bottles of water. When I take something out I throw a couple cold bottles of water from the cooler in. Keeping it full helps maintain even temp from night to day.

We don't use our fridge much. Sometimes have waters in it. We camp in Bear country, see them almost every trip. The wife wont allow food in the camper, even in the fridge. I am thinking about installing an AC in the fridge opening.

Note where I live and camp. This isn't the Arctic.

Do you have an ice chest at home? Why not? Because you have to buy ice every day or two. I have a three way. Works perfect on propane. Keep it on level 4 to keep the upper refrig from freezing except when it gets up into the 100's then level 5. We usually open it in the early AM for breakfast as our unique diet requires refrigerated food.

My fan hasn't been on for over a year. I used to share my system but have grown tired of being scoffed at. Those computer fans are worthless. Getting old and grouchy <GG> Get off my lawn <GG>

I am not thrilled with the capacity of the PUP fridge. More or less useless for my camping style. I love to grill. I am considering one of those Lifetime coolers that is a knock off of the Yeti. I really like the 50qt model... Less power use, less fuel use, and better use of space...

I have mulled it over quite a bit, and am torn. For longer periods, I would think a proper fridge would be appropriate. I like to use containerized ice that will keep the food dry.

I use mine alot. I just replaced the cooling unit in mine cause I didnt wanna be without it (icecream snickers bars). However I do use coolers when bearboxes are at the campsite (for a reason).
