    Warning rude comment to follow!

The guy is an IDIOT!!! And belongs in his tiny apartment, working in a cubicle, in an overcrowded city. He is exactly the type person destroying the kind of camping I love. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts he'll grow old, get tired of the freezing weather where he is and move to a warmer southern state. Once there complain about everything wrong with where he now lives and try to turn his new home into the same intrusive cesspool he fled from.

i literally spent one whole year reading about pupups, their different systems, how they generally work and things to watch out for. that was *before* i bought my pup.

this idiot couldn't be bothered to read up on the systems of the vehicle he had paid to use while he was using it.

Was thinking the same. How do you research van life and not understand that there is a battery with limited capacity that must be recharged? He blamed the "composting" nature of the toilet for its small/uncomfortable size. What did he think was going to fit in a van? And if he was freezing, why didn't he bother to zip up his coat? Too worried about looking cool? He was completely uninformed about every aspect of his venture and decided to stay in the worst possible places -- parking lots and KOAs? How about a national or state park? How about a destination with an adventure? Clueless.

All I read was: They got ripped off renting a non-functioning camper and should simply take the owner to small claims. Of course taking video during explanation of systems (and setup, if the case of a pup) shouldn't be rocket science. (not the it would matter when heat and elec just don't work. )Umm...nope, I didn't when we bought ours but one of the super nice owner ladies sent me a comprehensive doc on the whole setup/takedown sequence.

While I agree he got ripped off, I was just thinking the cost of the rental. I think the entire non functional part can be blamed on operator error. He didnt pay attention to the walk through, and couldnt follow directions.

Thanks for sticking up for the newbies lol! That's me! And have been researching a ton, I know it just isn't going to happen and it will take trial and error, we're not all clueless :p But I do think I need to just jump in and try it and apply whatever research I've done and learn from it.

We were all newbs once. I will never fault someone for asking a question. However, if you're going to not do any research, rush out, spend a bunch of money, make a bunch of stupid mistakes that you could have easily avoided by spending a little bit of time up front, and THEN publish a big manifesto about how "camping just isn't for you", then all bets are off.

Don't forget the ones that ask the questions and when you tell them the answer and they argue with you because the correct answer doesn't support their desire.

Haha now that you mention it, it *is* probably about time for another "can I run this super-loud construction generator at the campground so my little snowflake can have A/C without hookups" thread lol.
