I wish to contact a moderator but can't figure out how to do so. In the FAQ it has a clickable link for 'Have a question that has'nt been answered? Email us' or some such wording. It doesn't go to an email page when I click on it. Is there some easy way to contact a Moderator that I haven't seen? Could a Moderator perhaps PM me, please? Thanks. (By the way, if there is some simple, obvious way of contacting a Mod and I've missed it, well...let's just say my DW would not be surprised at my failure!)

You've got one....there is a forum called "Hey Steve and Carl, Let me tell you what I think"...where questions for the Admin or Moderators can be posted....but you can also PM Steve/Admin/Owner (shaenn) or me/Moderator/Flunky (Digger)

    Hi Digger, thanks for responding.

My 'problem' is that a couple weeks or so ago I started a thread 'Shortest time between purchase and SPUT' and I did that, I thought, in 'The Other Stuff' forum. When I later looked for it I found that I had somehow put it in 'PopUp Manufactures, Dealers & RV Shows ' forum. Don't know how I did that but it is, I admit, pretty much of an unsurprising thing for me given my intellect (or lack thereof). Is there a way that you could transfer it over to the correct forum?

No worries...that stuff can happen....I moved it over to the 'My Favorite Mods, Tips, Tricks (and Blunders)' forum as that is the most appropriate place for it.

Aha, I learned something! I went to check out the forum you mentioned and while looking at the list of all forums I saw, at the very bottom, an entry which said that I had several private messages waiting for me. I was naturally curious so I went to them and among the messages was one from Steve where he had informed me on Jul 14 that he had moved my SPUT thread TO the PopUp Manufactures, Dealers & RV Shows forum. Don't know why he did it but at least it means that, for once, there is an alternative explanation for strange things happening around me and the explanation does not relate to my total ineptness. Great!! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Smile">

I expect Steve moved it to the 'Dealers' forum because the original post dealt with the idiocy of a dealer's employee...certainly not a SPUT of your making! But since then, the thread has taken on a SPUT quality (near and dear to all our hearts!)...so I figured "...(and Blunders)" was the best place for it.....

EvTech, yes we move posting so that they are under more appropriate forum categories. Some times there can be more then one forum category that would be a more appropriate choice. In those cases it's a roll of the dice. You can always fine go to your "Control Panel" and see the last few postings you've made. Also, when a topic is moved, the author is sent a PM to let them know that it was moved and to where.

BTW, just to clear this up for other members, the link you were referring to in the FAQ section is an example of how to insert an email address in a posting. And yes, the email link in the example works.
