Took my popup to the dealer on Wednesday to get AC warranty service before my spring break trip to Palmetto State Park with N2S and his buddy Storm. Looked around at the big popups, checked out those A-liners (always wanted to see one up close), then stumbled onto the Skyline Mountain View Retro 140 15.8 ft travel trailer. I went inside and fell in love with it. I spent the last 48 hours weighing the pros and one con, and decided it was the right thing for me to do. The dealer is giving me close to 75% of my original investment back for a trade in. This little trailer was under $9,000 to begin with. My only negative is my fear of backing up a trailer with only mirrors to rely on. A few hours in the elementary school parking lot on a Saturday will cure that right up.

Guess I won't need all those space blankets I bought at Academy!

Congrats! we went a tad bigger and got the Starcraft AR-ONE 15RB which I believe has the same floorplan but also has a fold out bed in the back so it keeps that pop up feeling when sleeping.

Thanks for all the kind words. I am going at 3:00 to get the new trailer. It will be bittersweet. The dealer is setting the popup next to it in their camp area do I can easily move my stuff.

Am I crazy to wish I could have them both? I took 15 trips in that little pup since buying it last March. Some really good times. I know the future holds more, but man I loved that popup!

The Layton Retro 140 is exactly the same as the Skyline Retro 140. They must be companion companies.

I think they brand them differently based on what region of the country they are in. The Starcraft AR-ONEs have a similar floorplan as well, so they are all probably rolling off the same assembly line somewhere in Indiana!
