I just bought a 97 scamper. Had it out a few times already and found some little problems...120v system worked well..the 12 v..notta. So decided to redo the 12 v starting from the outside in. Removed the tv power lead and went with just a dedicated battery. Got looking at the wiring in at the convertor and wasn't impressed, so I redid it all...and now it works. while I was at it...added a water pump, Inverter and digital volt/amp meter and a solar charger

Look really good.
There is no such thing as going overboard as long as it makes you happy, almost everyone of us does things to "make it your own" Also in case of a problem you know exactly where the problem is (most times anyway) and what to do to alleviate the problem.

I'm looking to do something similar. Just bought a used PUP and the wiring job is terrible....

Do you have a wiring diagram for how you connected it all?

Where did you buy the solar gear and junction strips?
