We will certainly be heading back there soon. Just not this weekend.

Awesome park, we were there on Fathers Day weekend. Stayed in site #88 beautiful water front site... Sites 86-92 are all water front and close to the store and restrooms/showers, which are very clean. Taking a jump off the cliff at devils watering hole is a must.. That is if you aren't scared of heights...

Inks Lake is an excellent park, for sure! Love it there. I've only visited in fall & canoed and toured the nearby Longhorn Caverns. It was a bit chilly for swimming, although there were still some jumpers braving the frigid waters. It gave me a good excuse not to jump though -- terrified of heights!

Wish we could, but I have to work this weekend. [:(]

Inks Lake SP is great, one of our favorites.

Here is the view from waterfront site # 86:

We actually ended up in 89 and walked right past 86 to swim in the Lake. Much easier and relaxing then going to Devils Watering Hole.

We did have some annoying neighbors who each night around 2am broke out in a ruckus that lasted 10-20 minutes and then went away. I swear on the first night I head someone yell "WHY YOU NAKED" followed by laughing then quite....

It was busy and there was a great deal of activity going on.

    The boat ramp and dock.

The day use area from behind the store.

Tons of people enjoying the water (advantage of a constant level lake).

Can you reserve a specific site in Texas State Parks, or just the date and type of campsite? I can't figure it out from the reservation page.

Texas State Parks are FCFS. You can reserve types of sites - W/E, EO, etc but not specific site numbers.

When you check in they will tell you what is available and you get to pick. We always show up with a list of numbers that the DW has created based off of Google Earth. Then I just go down the list with the ranger. :)
