Hi all, I opened the PU this weekend to get it ready for the season and discovered an odd power problem: When I plug in to shore power (no battery connected) and try turning on the interior lights, they flash on and off and never stay on.

In addition, the propane leak detector alarm (which usually beeps once when I unplug from shore or the battery) beeps every couple of seconds along with the flashing interior light.

With the flashing and beeping, it appears that the converter is sending out intermittent power. I checked the fuses and they are fine. I also reset the breakers.

My question is: Does this mean the converter went bad and I have to buy a new one? Or is there some sort of reset procedure I can try?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds like your converter has some problems.
Could be there is a load on the system the converter doesn't like.

Try putting a battery in the unit and see if that cures the problem. The battery can stabilize the load on the converter.

If the battery does do that then I would look closer at the converter.

Hi folks, just to close this thread, it ended up being a bad converter. I tried all kinds of fixes, but finally ended up replacing the converter.

...and then the camper was stolen. I'll start a thread about that.

I already replied to the other thread, but my suggestion (now) would be get a different converter installed in a new camper! [:)C]
