I would like to extend an open invitation to all the guest browsers of PopUpPortal to become members.

To all you folks that have looked at the site, we would love to have you as part of our on line community. The features and benefits of this site are unlike any other camping related site on the web. Hundreds of seasoned, veteran campers come to browse the Portal every day. With them they bring a wealth of knowledge and information. And, best yet, they love to share all that they know with others !!

You do not have to be a pop up owner to join, enjoy and take advantage of everything this site has to offer. You do not have to own a $10,000 rig to be a member. Heck, some of our members had pop ups given to them for free !!! Maybe you're in the process of shopping for your first camper and need advice and/or help. You've come to the right place.

Membership at PopUpPortal has doubled since I first logged on a little over a year ago. There's very good reasons for that. Besides all the helpful people, this site offers some owner's manuals that can be downloaded, links to other camping related sites and the monthly sweepstakes, when available. Your name and personal information will never be shared and you will never, ever be subjected to pop ups while browsing this site.

So, please, take a moment to sign up. The registration link is on the home page, right under the PopUpPortal logo at the upper left of your monitor. Then introduce yourself on the forum page. You and everything you bring with you, be it questions or information, will be welcomed with open arms !! Thanks for joining !!

Myself, I have seen a lot of folks sign up here at PUP, and only make one post. Then, they are never seen/heard from again.

C'Mon, Guests....

Join up and Participate! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Come join us around the Virtual Campfire! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_campfire.gif border=0 align=middle> Sit a spell, and chime in as you please.

From what I've seen here in my short time, this is a most friendly site to participate in! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> If you're gonna go through the trouble to find us, why not hang around a while?

I know that I have done just that, and from what I can see, I have been welcomed with Open Arms! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hard to believe that when this thread first began, the drive was to get to 4000 members and now we are on the threshold of 8000 members. I'd say that the site is growing in leaps and bounds and that it's a testiment to all the great members and our fearless leader who keeps everything running so smoothly. The thing that really amazes me is that all a person has to do is dangle a question or request for help out there and someone is always there with an answer or advice. Regardless of the topic, someone here at the Portal knows the answer and is always willing to share.

If you are a guest out there right now straddling the fence between taking a few minutes to sign up or just browse as a guest, let me tell you that the minute or so that it takes to join is more than worth it. The benefits are countless, but participation in the forums rather than just reading them is perhaps the biggest one. Plus the monthly sweepstakes, weekly photo contest and ability to talk to experts on just about any subject.

Once you decide to join, please take a few seconds to introduce yourself and family to us at the Introducion Link in the Forums. It's a great way to get started, meet some great folks and become a welcome participant at the Portal.

When I got my free 24 year old pop up it had so much wrong with it. But with the help of the people on this site I was able to rewire and get it safely on the road twice this year. And you guest it I now have learned a few things and now pool my knowlage with others to help others.

Holy cow !! I can't believe this thread has been dredged up once again. But, you know, nothing's changed. The invitation still stands. We're still the same bunch we were two years ago when I began this thread, only now there's twice as many of us !!

I came here nearly four years ago with a question about my new-to-me pop up. Within three hours of posting, my dilemma was solved by a helpful member. And there were only something like 850 of us back then !!

I still see guests legitimately browsing the forums for information when I look at the Active Users. It's cool that you're doing your research. But, hey, if you're having troubles - don't be shy - go ahead and complete the registration and hit us with your question. Like me four years ago, you'll get your answer !!

BTW, Paul, I've been known to lose my camper in the middle of the night on the way back from the restrooms WITHOUT any help from "beverages" !!

Wow, this thread is still going. Man/Van, you are pretty awesome to have some folks find it and refresh it like this. But, I am sooo glad I found this site and have enjoyed it for a long time now. Not really sure how long, just awhile. Back from our anniversary trip, and wishing we were still camping. DH is glad to be home to the cows, chickens, old hound dog (Beagle) and his front porch chair. Of course that is about all he did camping this time was sit outside in his chair. LOL.... He does that so well. We just take photos of him sitting there. :)

I guess I'll bring this thread back up to the top! (maybe its a sticky anyhow, and I'm an idiot lol... However, I just want to say that when I bought my pup needing work, I was LOST as to where to go, and where to start. PopUpPortal got me on my way, the people here are awesome and willing to help WHEREVER needed! You've come to a great place, if you're considering joining, join in and sit around the virtual campfire here!

This is the first time that I have joined any kind of forum that wasn't
about food<img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_chef.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Chef">, AND we have a Hybrid. We had a pup, but had to go
to the Hybrid due to health reasons. I have been welcomed with
open arms<img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Big Smile"> and have received several helpful tips , much to my
DH delight<img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_happycamper.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Happy Camper">

I did it.. I’ve enjoyed and used some of the advice I’ve seen in theses forums. Especially the mods. I'm currently planning a refer/baffle/ fan mod for my PUP.

Ok, i am the trader amongst you. you let me join even though i traded my pup in for a small tt, but you have the best camping forum, & best folks to talk all things pup, camping and what ever. This site rocks!
if we do an all member campout i could through a blue tarp over the top of my tt, that might only throw off a few people looking for their pups at night, right?

haha thats the thing about PUP. Although you may not have a pup anymore, I don't think anyone cares! You're a member here, and hopefully attend some of the group rallies! Just don't be looking down on us pup folk like some of the Class A's!

Would be like a PUP woodstock. Could you imagine trying to FIND your pup in the dark after a few beers, lol. <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>

I'd use my newly discovered toy for this purpose now... a GPSr device commonly used for Geocaching! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Big Smile"> As for this thread, it should be a Sticky. The folks here are just great, and I have been welcomed with Open Arms even though I was locked out of another place. <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Shock"> Oops.

Anyhow, I'm thankful for the folks that I have met over here on PUP. Great Site, and y'all who just lurk should really take the plunge to participate! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Big Smile">

We are pushing toward 8000 members....WOW.

I joined here just over a year ago.....the knowledge I have aqcuired is priceless. One small problem solved here can save you hundreds for the same at the rv shop.

I have no gain from this statement....other than keeping a great site alive....please donate a few bucks (5, 10, 20, 500) to this site to keep it going. Great work on the site Shaenn.

Well since all of you have been so nice, I have decided to join your great forum. Since we bought our pup three years ago, I have visited your forum many times and learned more from it than I possibly could have learned the hard way. It's cheaper that way.

I will keep checking in, and throw in my 2 cents when it helps.

Throw it in, I know I need it! Many times you will go "DUH", why didn't I think of that? or, hey why go pay that shop a couple hundred dollars when I can fix it, usually for a couple of bucks when you have direction from someone who has made the repairs or mods before.

Glad you joined, everyone is helpful here.
