twohats, don't worry you'll be obsessed with mods, and going onto pup CONSTANTLY before long! I'm damn close to needing a 12 step program.

Okay, maybe I'm past needing it

Like Moises above me I am a newbie and I mean TOTAL newbie to this camping world. I've tent camped twice in my entire life. I stumbled across this site looking for sheets to fit the odd sized beds (glad usasheets site wouldn't let me pick a color to order since I've found it's much cheaper to use elastics on regular sheets) and an owner's manual for our new 2 us PUP. I've been here for hours browsing forums since! I'm on information overload and just learning how much I have to learn! Our first time out will be Memorial Day weekend too and I'm incredibly excited but just starting to get a grip on all the stuff I need to do before then. Wow!

quote:
You do not have to be a pop up owner to join, enjoy and take advantage of everything this site has to offer. You do not have to own a $10,000 rig to be a member. Heck, some of our members had pop ups given to them for free !!! Maybe you're in the process of shopping for your first camper and need advice and/or help. You've come to the right place.

My family uses a borrowed PUP. It belongs to my in-laws. Really like it here.

It's nice to know there's at least 11,999 other wild and crazy folks out there besides me.

Ok, maybe not wild and crazy. Maybe, its just me. :)

I found this site by accident and I am glad I did. I have a 1985 Viking Mini gasser 14. I have had it for a number of years and it has done quite good for me. I plan to do a lot of traveling this summer so I hope to meet up with some of you all. This seems to be a quite friendly group.

While researching information on my PUP last fall I stumbled onto this site after joining another site which shall go un-named. While the people are very knowledgeable over there, you folks here are much much friendlier.

I've learned as much about PUP camping here without the "finger wagging" I seemed to get over there. There don't seem to be many (any)"know it alls" here that talk down to people because of inexperience or post counts and I haven't seen any "battle threads" where a number of people feel they need to defend their honor because of they way they stabalize their PUP or over some other thing.

This is a great community you all have here and I'm glad I've found it because I have a lot of questions about my N2Me PUP and will need all the advice I can get going forward.

And they even talk to Iowans. Kind of corny if you really think about it. :)
