IoT comes to RV's (Home Automation with a RV bent)

    While researching RV Surge protectors, I ran across this tonight:

    Says they can monitors Temp, humidity, Battery, Propane, motion, wet/dry, door closure

    I thought it was pretty cool. I don't know if I'd ever purchase (I'm not really in the camper enough) but at Sub $200, it might be a nice christmas gift to myself)

    I would just get mad trying to set it up.
    I was cussing like a sailor setting up my direct TV app on my phone
    and figuring how to stream thru my TV.

    It's a Raspberry Pi with extra sensors. I've been thinking about doing something similar. But I'm not that skilled, so maybe I'll look into this instead :) The sensors don't seem *too* terribly pricey. And I like that there's bundles..

    Dude.. the demo site is pretty slick!
