That's what happens to me too.... Coffee and Hard candy hehe...

That's why I was trying to locate an easy packaged way to do it... i.e. just pour out what I need...

I haven't given up yet on Jimmy Dean's skillet meals... Just have figured out yet what is in those ten or so skillet packages... I know I can get just meat packages of several different things but need to find something to mix in with them by just pouring out of a bag hehe...

I got a couple of those POWER BOWLS that were kinda interesting... You can dump that out on a griddle and do some sir fry things with it...

I'm just too lazy to bring alone some onions and potatoes and peppers to cut up at the site haha...

I've got some good ideas from you guys however so will come up with something that's works for me I'm sure...

When I was camping in North Texas I always went to a store o Southwest Parkway in Wichita falls TX and they had a whole section of pre-cooked meals.. You just warmed them up in a skillet … Can't remember the name of the store how haha... Also use to eat the Army food packs but only a couple of those where worth eating haha...

Have you tried the Uncle Bens rice packets? Several flavors and you just heat and eat. I like the red beans and rice packet, but the others are good too. You can add canned meat if you want to. I get them at Walmart for about a buck. download.jpg

Same here on Corn Bread... My mom used to make a lot of corn breads meals when I was a youngster living back in Southern Illinois... It was almost pioneering days back in the 50s there... You haven't lived until you put in a corn field using horses... I guess that was the only time I saw my dad cry was when we all moved back to a little town in southern Ill and dad had to let his two horses go. He did good until they both looked back at him when they was being hauled away...

My dad was born and raised in a place called Horse Creek in Jefferson County Illinois...

Wow! It's hard to imagine having to go through that type of change... Surprised it was like that in the 50's! I was fortunate enough to hear some of my grandfather's tales of growing up in Northern Wisconsin (circa 1914)... definitely a different world!!
