Got a 2000 Jayco Eagle 10UD with a fairly common porch light.

The switch is in bad shape. Feels like there is sand in it...probably just rust as it doesn't appear to be an outdoor rated switch either. Gotta fight with it to keep it on. I was going to replace just the switch, but cant see a way to get into it.

Anyone replace the switch or entire light that can offer some insight in how it is mounted or how to get into it to service the switch?

    Thanks in advance.

The one that came on my TT was white (attracted bugs), I went to camping world and found a light with a yellow lens (less bugs) it was on sale but had no switch, I ordered a toggle switch from All Electronics.com for $1.00 and installed it. Been working great for 3 years now. If you remove the light you may be able to replace the switch from the rear.

I replaced the porch light on my Starcraft. I lost the lens, and couldn't find a replacement. The swap out was really easy. The RV store gave me a new piece of weather stripping along with the light. It was held in with four wood screws. It took maybe 10 minutes start to finish, including cleaning the surface for the new weatherstrip.

    I swapped the whole assembly.
New switch, bulb, and lens. It was pretty simple.

I was going to change my light out for one of those Star Lights SL1000 Motion Sensor LED RV Porch Light - White or Black.

These have the motion sensor built-in... Comes on when you walk up to your trailer if activated...

On my POPUP the outside light is pretty low close to the ground. If I did this I would want to relocate the light up on the roof side where it would be up higher and still be under the awning when you are setup at the camp site...

Thanks for all the feedback. I ended up ordering a whole new one off of amazon. Looks to be the same model. Hoping the screw holes line up.

An old guy once told me to stope talking about doing the job and just do it, lol. Glad it was easy!
