Well, we made the switch. Our family just got too big for our little pop up. We just purchased a NTU 2011 Heartland Trail Runner 23TBH. It should serve us well as we grow and travel. We'll miss our little pop up.

Cookies we had in the pup - ice cream convinced DH we would actually use the 'fridge in the TT.

The DW pack ice cream or other frozen snacks all the time in our TT.

:) Until I mentioned the possibility of ice cream, he thought we'd just use the 'fridge for dry storage. I'm glad, our food choices have expanded (far beyond ice cream!) and improved with a good 'fridge and freezer.

Our fridge and freezer are phenomenal on long trips. We vacuum pack all our meats, stew and chili and freeze it. It makes it easy to plan some dinners....when we are a powered site, the microwave comes in handy too....grandkids refer to it as the popcorn maker...lol

Having a freezer is great.. as mentioned can pre-cook lots of things and freeze them at home and keep them frozen until needed, can also stock up on frozen things too when on a longer trip and your restocking groceries..

This I don't doubt, lol. I'm going to the big RV show in October and I know there will be many temptations. I just dont want that motel feel that so many of the trailers have these days. I still want to feel like I'm camping. Any suggestions for when the force wins me over? i like the casitas and egg campers.

You know, when We sit under our large power awning around our propane fire pit on a rainy day when we can't have a regular camp fire and drinking coffee....it made me think back to when we had to sit in our pup to stay dry. Ever bake a frozen pizza while camping? We did it once out of a lark to test the propane oven...worked great. Sitting there eating pizza on a camping trip....who knew??...lol
