This past weekend we camped at the KOA Indianpolis/Greenfield. https://koa.com/campgrounds/indianapolis/ So Memorial Day weekend in Indy means Indy 500. Fortunately it wasn't too crazy. It was very full, and there were lots of race fans there, but it wasn't a big party. We got the last spot there, a few left on Sunday, and the place cleared out on Monday. We stayed until late in the day. The campsites seemed decent. Some were set up for RV's, with concrete patios. Ours was a grass site, not super thick but not just dirt. The sites are very close to each other, our picnic table was 15' from our neighbors. Most of the sites had a lot of shade, ours was well shaded. The bugs didn't seem too bad. We had electric and water hookups, that was nice. Restrooms/showers were nice and well kept. The camp store was well stocked, and staff was friendly. The pool was really nice, it looked very new and had some spray park features. It was one of the reasons we went, and we really enjoyed it. There were movies and other activities, though we didn't do any of them. Overall it was a nice place to camp. I wouldn't want to go back much due to the cost, and a less crowded weekend would be nice. But we wenjoyed our weekend.
