We had our first trip of the year last weekend. We used a $99 Certifikid* to stay at this KOA for three nights. We mostly used it as a glorified motel room so, unfortunately, I can't give much feedback on the amenities. We spent Friday at Busch Gardens (1/2 price Groupon)* and Saturday at Jamestown.

We rolled in late on Thursday - gawd how I hate I-95 - and had to set up at dusk. We got an escort to our site (D67). It was a pull-through W/E at the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of trees. It was a bit uneven but I got to try out our Tri-level. We leveled in less than a minute.

Overall impressions: The folks working at the CG are extremely pleasant and the camp store was well stocked with typical CG pricing. The bathhouse was very clean. There are many amenities but we didn't really use any. In fact, the heated pool opened the day after our arrival but much to our two daughter's chagrin, they did not get to try it out. At least they got to play a game of air hockey in the game room.

We did not tour all of this sizable resort but it seemed like most of the sites (the place was 80% empty) did not have many trees and were closer together than ours.

It's not a location where we would spend time using the resort amenities and thus wouldn't pay full price. As a place to sleep while enjoying the nearby Williamsburg amenities, you can't beat the Certifikid price. We'll go again next spring if the discount is available. The eldest DD now claims Busch Gardens as her favorite amusement park!

    * If you can't tell, I'm all about the discounts...

We spend a lot of time in Williamsburg. We love Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Just got our popup so was looking for places to stay near there.

I had not seen the Certifikid discount. Just sent it on to my wife. Thanks for the info.
