    Never been there, I just looked it up and see it's near Carson. You guys have some beautiful country up north. I'm stuck down here in Vegas. I like your signature :)

    Lahontan is fun. You can drive on the beach. Watch people get stuck in the sand. And the water is warm. :).

    I haven't been there in several years, when we bought the popup a few years back it was where we took it on the maiden voyage. There are some nice camping spots there, the water wasn't bad, but it was a bit mucky. There wasn't a lot of light pollution there so the night sky was great. The other commenter was right, there are a lot of sand traps there!
    We used to tent camp there years ago, the mosquitoes made me homesick for Wisconsin! ;)

    Never been there but it sounds like fun.
    It is a long drive from down here in the Gulch.
    I don't think my PUP is going anywhere but San Diego this summer.

    I was in the sand, the truck was in 4 wheel though and I did have to shovel a bit of sand out from in front of the camper wheels so I didn't sink the truck!
