Something has come up and we have to cancel this trip Hopefully next year.
On the 23rd the park is having a youth fishing event for kids 15 and under equipment and bait provided. Also on the 23rd is an intro to kayaking class.
Sorry you can't make it NY rocking chairs, hopefully run into you again somewhere. Did you cancel your site yet? Thanks Barry for the heads up on upcoming events
Yes, cancelled this morning. Nothing major, my FIL scheduled his knee replacement for that week and now my MIL would like us to be around in case they need help.
Good luck with the recovery
Looks like I will be camping in the Lake Erie area 2 weekends in a row now, the wife has been wanting to stay at Sara's beachcomber , at presque ,but reservations have been full every weekend, they called me today, said they had a cancelation next weekend, so we booked Friday and Saturday night on site 50. Then back home for three days of work, then over to the Ohio side for the rally. On Thursday. Quick question, does anybody know if there is a local storage area around where I could drop my trailer Sunday to Thursday. If reasonable , may be easier than towing it back and forth twice
We'll be doing make your on meatball subs for the potluck (basically a big ol pot of meatballs in marinara sauce some rolls and provolone and parm cheese).
Thanks for the heads up on the fishing day, dusty. My eldest daughter is all amped up for that!
I've also decided to bring the scooter so Crystal will be pulling the Pup while I follow behind. Be interesting to see how the little 150 does on a 160 mile trip.
John, I live right in the middle of Presque Isle and Geneva. I have more than enough room to park your camper.
If anyone is interested, there is power boat racing going on in Fairport Harbor the weekend of our gathering. It is about a 30 minute drive west.
Also looks like the medieval fair is going on in Rock Creek that weekend, if any one is interested in that.
Forgot about that. It's really fun for kids and adults. They do theme weekends.
Yeah, we just got our tickets. Groupon has a good deal going right now, 2 adult tickets for $29 or 2 adult and 2 kid for $29. We just went with the 2 adults, since two of the munchkins are under 5 so they are free. Gate prices are $22 for adults and $6 for kids.
Since Rhiannon wants to do the fishing day, we're planning on going on Saturday if anyone cares to tag along. Looks like it's going to be a fun filled weekend!
I have had to cancel this trip. Site 034 (electric) is now available Jul 18 - Jul 24
